Welcome to Language Arts & Technology. Here is our class wiki. The purpose of this assignment is to discover ways Web 2.0 can be used in instructional settings to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Here is your assignment:
1. Become an expert on a Web 2.0 tool. How can it be used in the English Language Arts curriculum? Choose one of the Web 2.0 tools that are listed on the navigation bar. Be sure to look at the tools that your classmates have selected to avoid duplication. If they are already taken you will need to choose a different tool. Choose your tool early for the selection of your choice. You must create something with this tool and provide a link for us to see. If that is impossible, provide your user name and password so we can see your work. If you decide to go this route make sure that your user name and password was created just for this project and is not associatedwith any of your private information. Your work can be an example of how you would use this tool to teach a concept or a student's creation. Which UDL Principle does the activity support? Please keep in mind that although these tools are very "cool" they need to be used to support a goal. You may want to integrate this project part of your Keystone Assignment but it is not required. It is your responsibility to learn how to use your chosen Web 2.0 tool. This means reading instructions, FAQ, the help menu and if necessary asking a question via email to the webmaster. If after taking these steps you still cannot understand how to use the tool it would be best to select something else. Due: March 19
